I don't know about y'all, but I like my memes to utilize some theatrics. I hate that we live in a world where everything, including memes, art, and movies, is expected to be subtle and understated. It's why there's no way Wicked will win Best Picture! In this culture, being an over-the-top theatre kid is tolerated at best and reviled and shamed at worst.  Nobody wants to be deemed a cornball who wants everyone to sing 'Waving Through a Window' from Dear Evan Hansen while eating dinner at IHOP. But that's not the theatrical I'm talking about. You can be bold, loud, and over the top without ruining anybody's meal. Theatrics are wonderful when yielded tactfully and by masters of the craft. I yearn for Fosse-era razzle-dazzle. If these memes can't give you the old razzle-dazzle in a way comparable to Billy Flynn, then you might not be ready for all that jazz.
